Adam Foote (born July 10, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman, and the former head coach of the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League.
Foote was drafted out of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) 22nd overall in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft by the Quebec Nordiques. He began his National Hockey League (NHL) career with the Nordiques in 1991–92 before relocating with the franchise to Colorado, where he won two Stanley Cups in 1996 and 2001. In 2005, Foote signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he served as team captain for three seasons. He then returned to the Avalanche in 2008 via trade, where he would eventually complete his playing career. Foote was the last active NHL player from the Quebec Nordiques.
Milan Hejduk (born February 14, 1976) is a Czech-American former professional ice hockey forward. Nicknamed "the Duke", he spent his entire 14-year National Hockey League (NHL) career with the Colorado Avalanche and retired holding the record for most career games as an Avalanche player with 1,020. In 2003, he won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the NHL's leading goal scorer. He is a member of Czech Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
Joe Sakic Born: 1969 Burnaby, Canada is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player. He played his entire 21-year National Hockey League career, which lasted from 1988 to 2009, with the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche franchise.
PeterForsberg: Born 1973, Örnsköldsvik, Sweden is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player and former assistant general manager of Modo Hockey. Nicknamed "Peter the Great" and "Foppa", Forsberg was known for his on-ice vision and physical play, and is considered one of the greatest players of all time. His 19-year professional career includes 13 years in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he won two Stanley Cups with the Colorado Avalanche, as well as several individual honors including the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2003. As of the end of the 2017–18 season, he is the seventh-highest all-time Swedish point scorer in the NHL regular season. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014.
John-Michael Liles (born November 25, 1980) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins. In addition to his playing career, Liles is a minority owner of the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League (USHL). A sommelier at heart, Liles provides the post-game reports for the Colorado Avalanche for Altitude Sports/KSE from his wine “closet” in the Vail Valley where he resides with his wife and two kids. He also sells real estate for Sotheby’s. Lile's serves as the Colorado Avalanche Alumni Association's President.
Mark A. Rycroft (born July 12, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche. Rycroft is currently a TV studio analyst for Altitude Sports and Entertainment, the local affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.
Kyle Quincey (born August 12, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenseman. He most recently played for HIFK of the Finnish Liiga. Quincey played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning, New Jersey Devils, Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Minnesota Wild. Kyle is considered in the hockey world a “suitcase”. With those teams Kyle played in 586 games , 36 goals 158 points and 548 pims. Quincey serves as the Colorado Avalanche Alumni Association's Vice President.
John Mitchell (born January 22, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche. He was drafted in the fifth round, 158th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Derek Armstrong (born April 23, 1973) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. Armstrong played in the National Hockey League, where he played for the New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings and the St. Louis Blues and now works for the LA Kings organization but resides in Colorado.
Darren Helm: Born: 1987, St. Andrews, Canada is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Colorado Avalanche, winning the Stanley Cup in 2008 and again in 2022.
Rick Berry Born 1978, Birtle, Canada is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman who played in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals. Berry now lives in Colorado and is a financial consultant.
Paul Stastny Born 1985: Québec City, Canada is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey center who played 17 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, Vegas Golden Knights, and Carolina Hurricanes.
Peter Budaj (/buːˈdaɪ/ boo-DYE; born 18 September 1982) is a Slovak former professional ice hockey goaltender. He had previously played in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche, which drafted him, Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Scott Douglas Parker (born January 29, 1978) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger who played for the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks in the NHL. Parker earned his nickname, "The Sheriff", from his reputation as a feared fighter and enforcer.
John Allan Conroy (born January 17, 1966) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played in 114 National Hockey League (NHL) games over parts of three seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Brett Barry Clark (born December 23, 1976) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey defenceman. He previously played in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens, Atlanta Thrashers, Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning and the Minnesota Wild.
Eric Lacroix (born July 15, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Lacroix played eight seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators. He is the son of former Colorado Avalanche president Pierre Lacroix and has worked in various management positions within the Avalanche. He currently is a studio analyst for the Colorado Avalanche on Altitude Sports and Entertainment.
Drew Shore (born January 29, 1991) is an American former professional ice hockey center who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was a second round selection, 44th overall, of the Florida Panthers at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and played parts of two seasons with Florida prior to being traded to Calgary. Internationally, Shore has represented the United States at both the junior and senior levels; He was a member of the American entry at the 2014 IIHF World Championship.
Druval "Duvie" Westcott (born October 30, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who last played for the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (German Ice Hockey League).[2][3] Westcott played his whole National Hockey League career with the Columbus Blue Jackets before signing with Dinamo Riga of the KHL
Philip Ross Crowe (born April 14, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger who played in the National Hockey League for the Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators, and the Nashville Predators between 1994 and 2000.
Since retiring from professional hockey, Crowe resides in Windsor, Colorado. He now plays in a hockey league in Northern Colorado. Crowe is the co-owner of an oil and gas directional drilling company, Total Directional based out of Windsor.
Yan Pavol Stastny (born September 30, 1982) is a Canadian-born American former professional ice hockey centre. He comes from the Slovak Stastny ice hockey family, and is the son of Hockey Hall of Famer Peter Šťastný (one of the first star Eastern Bloc players to defect to the West). His uncles Anton and Marián Šťastný also played in the NHL, and his brother Paul Stastny retired with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Michel Bernard Goulet (born April 21, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward who played for the Birmingham Bulls in the World Hockey Association and the Quebec Nordiques and Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998.
Aaron G. MacKenzie (born March 7, 1981, in Terrace Bay, Ontario) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played briefly in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Colorado Avalanche, where he currently resides.
Pierre Turgeon: Born August 28, 1969 is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. Selected first overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Turgeon played in the NHL for the Sabres, New York Islanders, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche. He is the younger brother of former NHL player Sylvain Turgeon. He is one of 48 players to have scored 500 goals. Turgeon was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on November 13, 2023.
Ken Klee has been involved in hockey for over 45 years as a player, coach and parent. He had a 17-year professional career with 985 NHL games for: Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, Atlanta Thrashers, Anaheim Ducks, and Phoenix Coyotes. Ken has most recently coached the U16 Colorado Thunderbirds where the team has won 2 straight state titles. Ken was the Head Coach of the USA Women’s National Team for over 2 seasons, posting a 19-3 record, with 2 World Championships Gold Medals and 2 Four Nations Gold medals. He has coached professionally at the AHL level for the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay Lightning’s affiliate) for 2 seasons. Ken and his wife Robyn have lived in Colorado for over 20 years and have three sons who all play hockey. He is currently the head coach of the Minnesota Frost of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
Steven Edward Reinprecht (born May 7, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward.
Undrafted into the NHL, he was signed as a free agent following his NCAA career with the Wisconsin Badgers by the Los Angeles Kings. During his rookie season, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche and went on to win a Stanley Cup championship that year with the team. Reinprecht has additionally played for the Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes and Florida Panthers. Later, he took his game to the German DEL. Representing the Canadian national team, he won gold at the 2003 World Championships.
He typically played at the centre position and was known for his two-way versatility.[1] He was named to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
Jacques Cloutier (born January 3, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, and Quebec Nordiques between 1981 and 1994. He is currently an assistant coach working under Bob Hartley with Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).[1] Internationally Cloutier played for the Canadian national team at the 1986 World Championships, winning a bronze medal.
Andy Canzanello (born Rochester, MN)
“Canzy” played 4 years at Colorado College. He then spent 3 seasons in the Columbus Blue Jackets organization playing in the American Hockey League. He then played 9 years in the DEL hockey league which is based out of Germany. In his post playing career, Canzy started a courier/logistics company that services Summit and Eagle counties and the Roaring Fork Valley region called 106west logistics.
Darwin McCutcheon (born April 19, 1962) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. McCutcheon signed with the Kitchener Rangers as a walk-on and played 3 years in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers, Toronto Marlboros and was the captain of the Windsor Spitfires in his last year of Junior. He was called up to the Toronto Maple Leafs in his last year of Junior. He then played hockey for the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers for 4 years and was named All Star 3 years and also All Canadian 1984–85. McCutcheon was born in Listowel, Ontario, but grew up in Brussels, Ontario.
